WW & HNT: Dragon by the Shore
on November 2nd, 2011 at 00:00After my successful train station adventure, I headed out of the Boston area and down toward the Cape. My thought was to get to Orleans and maybe as far as Provincetown, looking for a quiet beach and maybe a lighthouse for some more Scavenger Hunt fun.
The rain cleared by the time I hit the Sagamore bridge and it actually got sunny in spots! and the drive was beautiful. I used to go down to the Cape for several weeks every summer for a special needs vacation program but hadn’t been down in ages. It was a good time to just relax and enjoy the journey.
When I hit Wellfleet I started seeing signs for private beaches, and finally took one long winding road off the main drag… and was very happy with the result
A few steps down to the beach
And a glorious view!
I waded and dabbled for a bit, finally letting the girls come out to play…
And then gave some other bits a bit of fresh air too
Just as I was going back to my car, an elderly couple drove in and parked, looking at me curiously. Ah, if they only knew!!
This Dragon has scored yet another successful Dragon De-scaling! and that makes notch #15 on the Scavenger Hunt!
There’s still one more site I shot from that day, so I’ll be back next week with some more public wantonness ![]()
PLUS… I’ve been out since then and flaunted myself in four other locations, three of which are brand new categories for the Hunt!
Go see who else is being wanton here
And if you miss out on Wednesday, there’s still the opportunity to be Half-Nekkid on Thursday here

Stirring the waters again Kazi ?
Another great scavenging adventure from a brave dragon
Always, Rider, always!
You can count on that…
I need to get to the beach…. I have no idea when that will happen and if it doesn in the next 6 months it is going to be a damn cold beach but at least that should mean it is deserted. I must post another of scavenger hunts….maybe tomorrow or Friday. You are really an inspirtaion.
Mollyxxx
Awww, thanks Molly!! :”>
Looking forward to seeing your “outings”!!
Great pictures – I should have done this when I was at the beach recently (although I’m not sure the other folk on the beach would have appreciated it!)
Tame
A glorious view indeed, my dear
I’ve updated the Scavenger Hunt page!
xx Dee
Yaayy! thanks Dee!!
And one of these days I will go back for a lighthouse!
Being I have a complexion that blends in with snow…beaches and I don’t get along all that well. As such always good to live vicariously through others on these ventures…as Dee said, glorious view, indeed.
Stranded
How come I never see mermaids like you on the local beaches? *pouts* Well done you!
sometimes the girls need to breathe, sometimes the kitty needs to breathe, it’s a fact of life
i wanna take a dip in those waters
hhnt, babe
Wonderful pics! So serene and sexy at the same time.
Oh my, yes… A delicious view indeed…
Well done!
Just today I got beach pics for my scavenger hunt, I took advantage of a local state park with a closed beach
