As soon as I pulled into the parking lot and saw the government license plates, I knew this was a crazy idea.

Seeing all the security signs only confirmed it.   What was I thinking?!

Here’s where I was… :D

As I walked around, I realised that security cameras were everywhere and I was going to need to act very carefully so as not to attract attention (ha!)… I honestly did not know if I would be able to pull off a Dragon De-scaling or not…

So for a bit I just took pictures of the planes through the chain link fence.  Pardon me whilst I get snap-happy here, I love aircraft and I loved the photo opportunities that were presented here…

After a while of careful wandering I found a likely spot where I could prop the camera, not daring to use the tripod, and took a test shot.  Then I had to wait a bit more, as men were coming out of the canteen and going onto the airfield; they ended up taking one of the planes up, which was fun to watch even as I feared being discovered.

And finally, things settled down and I exposed a little skin!!  I should mention it was DAMN cold at that time of the morning and my hands were already going numb by the time I got to this shot!

The kamiKazi Dragon strikes again! and so that makes notch #26 on the Scavenger Hunt!

I went on to score four more sites later that day, so the public wantonness will continue… ;)

Go see who else is being wanton here

And if you miss out on Wednesday, there’s still the opportunity to be Half-Nekkid on Thursday here

The theme this week is “Zany”… I think this certainly qualifies!!!  Granted, the idea was to show what we do for spontaneous fun when we’re snowed in for a blizzard… but really what I do then is way too tame…

I’m, uh… reading my Kindle there.  Yeah.  That’s my story, and I’m sticking with it…
