Wanton Wednesday: Wanton Gardening in Public
on January 25th, 2012 at 00:00This week we stop by the Arnold Arboretum, an historic landmark that has public gardens (Dee take your pick!!
)

My target was the bonsai house here… I love bonsai and would do it myself if I had any kind of green thumb. On the way there I came across some red osier…
I love red osier… it reminds me of when I used to go hunting for pussy willows as a child, we’d always find red osier too and the two look fantastic together. I made a note to come back after the bonsai and give this bush some love
When I got to the bonsai house I realised that they had moved all the delicate plants to an indoor setting for the season.
Not to be deterred, I looked around a bit and found this hardy little tree hugging a wall.
So I gave it some love…
Then I wandered about taking photographs for a bit until I found myself back at my osier bush.
And I gave it some love…
Now make no mistake… yes, there were other people around in the gardens!! Mostly jogging, though there were also several dog-walkers. So I did have to be careful… nevertheless, it was a gleeful Dragon De-scaling! and so that makes notch #27 on the Scavenger Hunt!
I still have other sites in queue…
Go see who else is being wanton here

Because your photos are with the plants, I’m going with Public Garden on this one! (And what a great garden it is
). I’ve updated the Scavenger Hunt page too – I’m trying to keep up with you, but just getting further and further behind …
xx Dee
Thank you Dee!!
One of these times I’ll just have to go for a shot with a landmark sign… that was actually my third landmark site. The cemetery and the building where I shot the fire escape were both landmarks as well
Good grief, wasn’t that a little, umm chilly on the nipples? Suffering for art, I know, but… Hopefully you had a photographer to warm them up nicely.
I wish!!
But no, it was a solo endeavour!! and quite nippy for the nips… which is why I didn’t bare more!
The scavenger hunt is so awesome. Would love to try it!
Go for it! always glad to inspire
