Scavenger Hunt: Doggy-Style
on 2012/02/20 at 00:00I started my holiday weekend early with a day off on Friday and decided to spend the morning scavenging. All told, I ended up with 12 different scavenging points, several of them as brand new areas for the Scavenger Hunt, a personal best for me (I think the most I’d ever scored in a day before had been five).
I have to share one of them now as it was one of those “close call” situations… I had a couple of narrow misses over the course of the morning, but this was I think an actual, “ayep they caught me in the act and let’s all avoid eye contact and pretend that didn’t happen, yeah” situation.
It was an ordinary fire hydrant. I thought I had found a nice, secluded location and so I took my time setting up the shot.
Just as I was straightening up to retrieve the camera, two joggers ran past. Focused as I was, I had never seen them coming. I am sure however, that they saw me, especially with that damned fluorescent jacket!!
Red with embarrassment, I watched as they descended down the hill, then turned to put away my gear. I also tweeted about it, and a rollicking exchange followed, thanks to that magic Huff 
Hopefully he’ll take that and run with it!! In any event… this has been another Dragon De-scaling! and so that makes notch #31 on the Scavenger Hunt!
Didn’t think I could really go a whole week without posting one did you??

Very exciting! We’ve had a couple close calls, but as far as I know we’ve never been caught enjoying hanky panky in public. We’ve said it before and we’ll say it again: The risk of discovery is much more exciting than actually being discovered!

I blame the funny coloured fire hydrant. I see you as a fire dragon and not a water dragon. Didn’t you almost get caught at the dam? Water is messing with your mojo.
