Wanton Wednesday: Weathering It Out
on 2012/04/18 at 00:00For those that may have missed my last Scavenger Hunt post, it’s here…
The next stop on my hiking adventure was a weather station, the Blue Hill Meteorological Observatory to be exact.
This site was also listed with the National Register of Historic Places in 1980, just as the two sites I presented last week were. There’s a bit of a museum attached, which I did not go into as well as this interesting old building…
…which I would have loved to have posed beside were it not in a direct line with the observatory windows, and I did not want to call attention to myself with what I was about to do.
I could see a car parked up at the main entrance, so I knew someone was in the building. For that matter, someone could have come over the trail just as I had done and see right away what I was doing as I posed beside the tower fence…

…pass the mouse over the picture for another view…
Luckily, no one came to check out what I was up to. There was a bit of a light drizzle going on, which may have put off some people, and the terrain around the station is rather rocky.
Another cheeky Dragon De-scaling! and that makes notch #42 on the Scavenger Hunt!
There’s still more scavenger sites along the hiking trail, so I’ll be back next week with some more public wantonness
Go see who else is being wanton here

Where else would you go, but an observatory, to get some lovely moon shots?
And yet again I luv how brave you are!

Very daring! As first I was afraid you were going to climb something!!!
LOL
As much as I love electrical stim play, I think that would have been a bit too high-test for me
I see a possible book in the works… “Mooning the historic,” or something like that.
The more and more of these pictures I see the more and more I understand why it was named New England….
