Hiking back down after reaching the summit in my recent series of adventures, a sight off the trail caught my eye.
Going closer, I saw that the uprooted tree still had enough of a root system to continue to live and flourish in this state! truly amazing to behold 
Underneath it was sufficient space for someone to crawl underneath and shelter from the rain, a veritable cave…
So exploring it was a must! I could crawl all the way inside, but that was not conducive to good picture-taking, so I hung out near the mouth of the cave for some shots…

There are more sites to come from the hike, so I’ll be back again with some more public wantonness… though not next week. There will be a break in the series on May 2nd to recognise the 100th posting of Wanton Wednesday, come see what I do
