on 2012/05/09 at 00:00If you missed my latest exposure, it was this past Sunday… and broke up the hike a bit. I’m almost to the end of this adventure, it’s been quite a run. I’m undecided whether I’m going to cap off at 50 notches for the Scavenger Hunt or try to keep going. It’s getting harder to find new places I can do on my own, though there’s still plenty I could do with a partner.
This week finds me beside a moving stream along the hiking trail, another new category for the Scavenger Hunt. It was deep in the woods still, and I thought I had a relatively good shot at pulling this off fairly quickly. First I stopped to snap some general shots of the area for set-up and to show that this was actually a stream and not standing water
In the midst of shooting, I suddenly heard voices! it was a veritable horde of schoolchildren led by a couple of adults, and I thanked my lucky stars I had not yet begun to pose! They stopped to ask me if I knew the area but I just shook my head and waited for them to move on. It took a while…
I kept my back to them as I set up a shot on a plank across the stream, just so they wouldn’t see anything if they happened to look back…

Yet another successful Dragon De-scaling! and so that makes notch #46 in another new category on the Scavenger Hunt!
There are two more sites on the trail, so I’ll be back next week with some more public wantonness

Glad that you heard people coming. That was a close escape. We’ve discovered that the best time to go to the park is when it’s burning hot outside and everyone else is inside in the air conditioning.
