Did anyone else play with erector sets as a kid?  I giggled every time I heard the word, and even concocted a pulley system to get some joined steel “girders” to “rise”… yes, I was deviant even back then ;)

As I’ve often made mention, I have several scavenger notches “in the can” just waiting their turn to be shown.  Even though it has nothing to do with the biking series, I went with this one this week as it was the first one that popped to mind when I saw Rebel’s prompt, “Caught in the Act.”  Though it is certainly a danger of scavenging, and I’ve had my share of near misses, I do try to avoid actually being caught with my pants down… or shirt up, as the case may be!

However, with this particular notch, it was almost as if I was begging to be caught.  There are very few construction sites one can actually access around here; most are fenced in to protect the public from injury.  This particular site had always been more open but was also VERY public and heavily frequented by cops.  Still, I had kept my eye on it and waited for an opportunity to present itself.

It shares a parking area with a 24-hour supermarket.  I wandered in to check out the store late one evening, and noticed that though the construction site was lit up inside, it appeared that no one was actually working in it.  I decided to do a recon with my camera, see how close I could get without being spotted, and see if I could finally score this notch.

As I worked myself closer, I was literally hiding beside piles of building materials and porta-johns, my heart in my throat, trying to get a bead inside the building to see if the coast was clear.

I even thought that perchance I would need to settle for a shot against the wall of the building…

… but oh what luck! it appeared to be empty in there.

And so I took my chance…

Coming out again, people were looking my way, so I pretended I was just going for shots of the building whilst giggling madly under my breath…

Another successful Dragon De-scaling accomplished! and so that makes notch #60 on the Scavenger Hunt!  Sixty!!!!

I have a few more sites in store, so I’ll be back next week with some more public wickedness ;)

Go see who else is being wicked here

Sir has asked who else is involved in the scavenger hunt; if you have a recent scavenger post you’d like to share, you can link here so He (and the rest of my readers, plus those involved in Wicked Wednesday) can see…
